DPI's Chief Scientist receives double honour

NSW DPI ‘s Chief Scientist Steve Kennelly was recently appointed Adjunct Professor of Macquarie University for his long-running association with the university and the other universities comprising the Sydney Institute of Marine Science (the University of Sydney, University of NSW and the University of Technology, Sydney).

He joins a growing number of DPI scientists with adjunct status at NSW universities.

Prof. Kennelly also recently received an Australia Day Achievement Award from the Commonwealth Government as one of the members of the Australian Delegation to the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) XXVI.

The award was in recognition of the CCAMLR XXVI’s significant contribution to the conservation of Antarctic resources through their individual and collective efforts.
