Men’s health will be on the menu when the Orange Agricultural Institute (OAI) hosts a free barbecue and information evening on Wednesday October 17.

Department of Primary Industries (DPI) Rural Support Program leader, Cheryl Pope, said men’s health specialist, Stephen Carroll, and world champion woodchopper, David Foster, would provide entertainment and pertinent information at the event.

"It’s an add-on to the Pit Stop health checks DPI, NSW Farmers and NSW Health are running at the Australian National Field Days (ANFD) in Orange," Ms Pope said.

"Stephen Carroll is an internationally recognised health professional who delivers down-to-earth insights into relationships, physical, mental and sexual health.

"Tasmanian Ambassador for Men’s Health, David Foster, has won more than 1000 wood chopping competitions here and overseas.

"He’s been a regular visitor to the Orange ANFD and we’re happy to have him at the men’s health barbecue this year.

"To top it off, both these blokes are sure to draw a belly laugh or two as they deliver handy health hints."

Sponsored by the DPI, Western NSW Local Health District and NSW Rural Adversity Mental Health Program, the barbecue is set to draw an enthusiastic crowd.

The event will be held at the OAI Training Centre from 6.00 pm and registration is essential for catering purposes by Monday October 15.

Men and women are invited to register by contacting Kirsten Felstead, (02) 6391 3494 or kirsten.felstead@dpi.nsw.gov.au
