Community support at a personal level will be delivered at free Quest for Life Foundation ‘Bounce Back’ workshops at Moree on Tuesday August 21, Inverell on Wednesday August 22 and Rowena on Thursday August 23.

Department of Primary Industries (DPI) Rural Support Program leader, Cheryl Pope, said the workshops were being delivered in response to demand from the local community.

"People were telling us that they needed help getting back on their feet following flood and other difficulties," Ms Pope said.

"We knew the Quest for Life workshops had been very welcome and effective in Queensland and we expect to see the same positive results here."

The workshops are open to everyone who would like help in getting through life’s challenges of serious illness, grief, loss, trauma and uncertainty.

Ms Pope said the Quest for Life Foundation was an initiative of Petrea King, who has become well-known for helping people manage their lives in meaningful ways in the face of difficult challenges.

"The workshop offers practical solutions to help individuals and the community through trying circumstances," she said.

People interested in attending a workshop should register with Cheryl Pope (02) 6391 3948, cheryl.pope@dpi.nsw.gov.au or Jenny Croft, 0429 446 417, jenny.croft@dpi.nsw.gov.au by Wednesday August 15.
