Chemical courses will help on the farm or in business

A range of SMARTtrain chemical accreditation courses will be offered for agricultural and veterinary chemical users and supervisors at Tamworth in June.

PROfarm course organiser Julie Chapman said the accreditation remains valid for five years.

The courses being offered are:

  • Chemical Application Initial - A two-day course recommended for those who use pesticides with powered and hand-held equipment. The course date is 5-6 June and costs $365 GST free.
  • The AQF3 Chemical Application Reaccreditation - A one-day course for people who hold a current AQF3 accreditation in chemical application which is due for renewal. The date is 5 June and costs $290 GST free.
  • AQF4 Chemical Risk Management Initial - A one and a half day course recommended for those who supervise employees when using pesticides. AQF3 is required as a prerequisite to this course. The course date is 7-8 June and costs $335 GST free.
  • AQF4 Chemical Risk Management Reaccreditation - A one day course for those who hold a current AQF4 accreditation in chemical risk management which is due for renewal. This course will be run on 7 June and costs $305 GST free.

Registrations close on 29 May.

The course fees include a manual, CD, SMARTtrain card and certificate of attainment upon successful completion.
