Chemicals registered for use against western flower thrips in leafy vegetables.

Vantal™ 18 EW miticide/insecticide. Do not graze or cut for stock food for 3 days post application. Apply sufficient volume for even coverage and better plant penetration. Use higher rates for high pest pressure. Do not use more than 2 sprays per crop, 28 days apart. 

Spinosyn (5A)

 

(3) Spinosad 10g/L 20mL/100L Yates Success™ Naturalyte™ Insect Control. 3 day WHP. Do not spray when bees are feeding on flowers. NB. For lettuce, endive, silver-beet and spinach only.
(5) Spinetoram 120g/L 400mL/100L.

Success™ Neoinsectecide. 3 day WHP. Do not use on brassica grown for fodder. Do not graze treated brassica. Use product as part of the WFT resistance management strategy. N.B. Brassica includes: broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and cauliflower. Brassica leafy vegetables: for a full list see label. Leafy vegetables includes: lettuce, endive, silver-beet and spinach.

15-30mL per 1000 seedlings for leafy vegetables.

Durivo insecticide. Brassica 6 week WHP. Brassica leafy and leafy vegetables 4 week WHP.  If exporting seek additional WHP advice from Syngenta. Use lower rates when using the planting hole method and higher rates in crops with a season <7 weeks.

Volume application must be sufficient to get product to the root ball but not cause run-off that must be captured.

Do not use imprecise methods of application that should occur immediately before transplant up to 24h before despatch.

Do not apply within 48h of forcast rain.

One (1) application per crop. 

N.B. Brassica includes: broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and cauliflower, brassica leafy vegetables. Leafy vegetables includes: lettuce, endive, silver-beet and spinach.

Alkyl halide   (8A)

Vapormate Fumigant. Do not allow re-entry if fumigant >100ppm and CO2 >5000ppm. Only to be used by licensed fumigator for post harvest disinfestation. Chamber volume needs to be calculated to achieve correct dose. Label refers to ornamentals generally.
