This information forms part of Western flower thrips (WFT) insecticide management plan.

 

Chemicals approved by the APVMA for off-label use in CAPSICUMS.
Effective to 31 July 2016.

Not highly effective against the adult stage. 

Dilute spraying recommended for trellised crops. If dilute spraying to point of run-off using volumes up to 1000L/ha refer to label.

Always use an adjuvant.

Durivo insecticide. No WHP when used as directed.  If exporting seek additional WHP advice from Syngenta. Use lower rates when using the planting hole method; higher rates with a season <7 weeks.

Volume application must be sufficient to get product to the root ball but not cause run-off that must be captured.

Do not use imprecise methods of application that should occur immediately before transplant up to 24h before despatch.

Do not apply within 48h of forcast rain.

Note for Victoria: Schedule 7 Poisons are ‘specified chemical products’ under Victoria’s control of use legislation.
