The Country Web 53

The Country Web No. 53 Spring 2010

Our latest issue of The Country Web celebrates all things creative.

In this edition we take a look at some of the creative and inspiring initiatives and events happening across NSW including Opera in the Paddock - a major regional event with a devoted following that will next year stage it's 10th performance and Coonamble's Moorambilla Festival. Held every September, Moorambilla is a festival blooming with opportunities to be creative and sing, where participants can create and enjoy the best of the region's artistic talent.

Read about inspiring rural women who share their stories and tell us how they got started with their creative pursuits, like Archibald prize winner, Cherry Hood. Cherry decided several years ago to swap the bright lights of the city for the peace and tranquility of country life. Cherry tells us how she got started in her career and why she choose to make a tree change. We also talk to Aboriginal artist, Joedie Davis about her passion for art and how she juggles art with motherhood.

This edition also includes program and registration information for the 2010 NSW Women's Gathering to be held at Wentworth from 29-31 October 2010. A perfect weekend for those in need of a short break and some inspiration!
